Baby Winter – born in Georgia in July!

Posted in Children and Babies, My Family, Portraits on August 29th, 2010 by Courtney – Be the first to comment

I introduced you to Winter just after he was born in this post.  These photos were taken when he was about 9 days old, which is a great time for newborn photos.  Within the first 2 weeks a baby is still sleeping a lot and is comfortable in those cute curled up positions.  These photos were all taken on location in the comfort of the new family’s home.

Winter is a thinking man!

Can’t resist this little cutie!

Here he’s asleep in his daddy’s arms.

And looking into Mama’s loving eyes.

He’s already a happy boy!!

This is one photo/pose that clients often request.  It calls for one strong arm and one very sleepy baby.

The happy family.

(You may recognize Mama Amy from the front page of my web site.  Winter’s older sister Lucinda was the model for that photo, just over a year before!)

Jackie & Greg’s Reception at The Foundry Park Inn

Posted in Reception, Wedding on August 25th, 2010 by Courtney – Be the first to comment

Jackie and Greg’s reception was held at a ballroom at The Foundry Park Inn.

The First Dance.

Enjoying a toast.

And of course, the father-daughter dance.

Jackie got these adorable favors on etsy.  I just love them!

Their beautiful rings.

The flowers for the wedding were done by Gardenia Floral Design.  They always make perfect arrangements that fit the couple just right!

Jackie’s friends were all hoping to catch that bouquet!

Tony from EPO is a great DJ who keeps the party going from start to end!  Here he’s showing off his dancing skills to The Cupid Shuffle.

Everyone was dancing!

One of Jackie’s bridesmaids made this fantastic prop for photos.  We had so much fun!

Thanks Jackie and Greg for throwing such a fabulous party and having me there to capture all the moments.  I had a blast!!

Jackie and Greg got married at the Catholic Center at UGA.

Carrie Scruggs played the Harp for their ceremony.  Carrie does a fabulous job and adds such beauty to a wedding!  (Carrie can be reached at 706-369-1902 or carriescruggs@bellsouth.net)

The groom sees his bride for the first time!

The bride and her father.

Greg’s sister in law Jill sang a beautiful song during the ceremony.

Her shoes have their initials and wedding date on them!

Jackie & Greg’s Rehearsal Dinner at The Foundry Park Inn’s Hoyt House Pavilion

Posted in Wedding on August 2nd, 2010 by Courtney – Be the first to comment

The Foundry Park Inn in Athens, GA is a fabulous venue for a wedding.  They have a few ballrooms for your event in addition to the Hoyt House Pavillion, the Melting Point, and the Hoyt House private dining room.  There is a spa for relaxation and getting ready for your big day and great rooms for you and your guests to stay in.

Jackie & Greg’s Rehearsal Dinner was held at the Hoyt House Pavillion and it was fabulous!  I love it when a couple hires me for the rehearsal dinner in addition to their wedding.  The rehearsal dinner is usually the closest of the couple’s friends and family, including those who travelled to the wedding just for you!  There are also some of the best toasts which make for perfect photo opportunities on this more casual evening before the wedding.  Here are some of my favorite photos from Jackie and Greg’s Rehearsal Dinner.

Greg’s Dad toasts the bride and groom.

And Greg’s friends “Roast” him!

Good friends = Good times
