I really enjoy working with friends and their families as a photographer. I’ve known Brittany since we were kids, and now I’m taking portraits of her kids! These photos of Brittany’s family were taken at the Duck Pond in Garden Hills in Atlanta. McCree is one year old – and he’s so handsome! As one year olds go, he was very cooperative in having his photo taken. He was, of course, mostly interested in running around, playing with balls, and carrying around the chair I brought for him to sit on. (There’s a photo of that below.) Audrey is almost 3, and she couldn’t decide if she wanted to have her photo taken or if she was too shy for that. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day.
I just love this photo. I know it isn’t your traditional “good picture” but to me it seems perfect. Audrey’s skinned knees, her shy look, dad in the background, the american flag, and McCree is heading off in the other direction. It seems like such a “moment in time.”

Yep – by some miracle these siblings sat together, arm in arm, looking at me – if only for a moment. Glad I caught it!

I worked with Vicky and her family almost two years ago for her grandson Miles’ confirmation. I love to work with families over the course of time, I’m always amazed at how much the kids have grown and changed! I included a photo of Miles from the first session, as well as one of Leslie. Leslie and Greer are wearing the same dresses in the recent photo session as they did the first time, but switched! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites photos from the day.

I know Baby Ella’s mom Mary Ellen from the wedding industry – she’s an amazing planner and coordinator with Consultants Unlimited. She and her husband Jason welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world at Athens Regional on January 20th, and I was there just hours later to get some photographs of their first day with their daughter. At 3 hours old, she is the youngest newborn I’ve photographed to date!
When Baby Ella was about two weeks old I went to her house to take some more photos. Here are some of my favorites.
This hat was Ella’s great grandfather’s, and yes – that’s a mouse on it!

Time flies! Axley turned One this past fall. I took his portraits at a few weeks, and again at 6 months. Here he is at one year old.
