Melanie & Zach's reception was in The Conservatory at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens. A Divine Event was responsible for the delicious meal and the incredible decor including flower arrangements by Gardenia Floral Design.The Flavor Band provided the entertainment, but Melanie & Zach's family got on stage and helped out too!

One of the greatest perks of getting married at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia is, of course, having your photos taken throughout the garden. The spring-time trees were blooming, and the flowers were gorgeous. Plus, the timing was perfect for the portraits of Melanie and Zach to be taken as the sun was sitting low in the sky, adding a beautiful glow to their already very happy faces.

Katie & Walker's Wedding Reception at The Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta, GA
Katie and Walker's Wedding Reception was held at The Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta, GA. It's an elegant ballroom that was perfect for Katie and Walker's style. The Piedmont Driving Club provided the cake and did the catering, Chelsea Floral and Event Designs provided the flowers, and The Neons provided the entertainment. This was such a sweet moment - Katie and Walker were practicing for their first dance while their guests were outside enjoying the cocktail hour.

Kate and Walker had a traditional Catholic ceremony, including the celebration of the Eucharist, which is central to the Catholic faith. They lit the unity candle, which represents the couple's lives as separate individuals, and symbolizes the union of their two hearts and lives into one. Portraits at Katie & Walker's Wedding Day Portraits at Holy Spirit Catholic Church and The Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta
Katie and Walker took the traditional approach and waited until the ceremony to see each other on their wedding day. Prior the the ceremony I took the portraits that don't require both the bride and groom, including Katie with her bridesmaids and her family, as well as Walker with his groomsmen and his family. After the ceremony I took a few more portraits, starting with the officiant and the families at the alter. Then I took Katie and Walker outside to take some sweet photos of just the two of them. I also took a few quick wedding party photos once we got to the reception venue, The Piedmont Driving Club.
Katie Getting Ready for her Wedding Ceremony at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Atlanta, GA
Katie and her bridesmaids started getting ready at her family's house. Once everyone's hair and makeup was done, and the bridesmaids were in their dresses, they took a limo over to the church to get Katie into her dress and ready to walk down the aisle. The bride's room at Holy Spirit Catholic Church is very special to Katie's family. The stained glass window in the photos below was given by Katie's parents as a gift to their parents (Katie's grandparents), and they had it placed in the bride's room in hopes that one day one of their daughters would get married in their church. And of course, it did!

Marcel's Bar Mitzvah was held at The Rialto Room at Hotel Indigo in Athens, GA on Thanksgiving Day. Although the ceremony was not held at a temple, the ceremony was traditional, beautiful, and certainly the most important part of the day. Don't worry, the party was fun too! Maggie & Ware's Engagement Session at Serenbe in Palmetto, GA
Anyone who follows my blog knows that I usually only pick a few favorites to show. This post will be an exception to the rule! I just couldn't narrow my selections down any further. Maggie and Ware were so much fun to work with. They are getting married out of state this summer, but wanted an engagement session locally and I'm so glad they called me! Serenbe was a great choice for an engagement session as it provides such a beautiful backdrop.

Katie and Walker's Engagement Session at a private residence in Atlanta, Georgia
Katie was a bridesmaid at Caroline and Stephen's wedding in the Fall of 2011. This summer, she is going to be the bride when she marries Walker at Holy Spirit Catholic Church! I met up with Katie and Walker on a warm day this past fall at Katie's grandparents' house for their engagement session. We walked around the property and took some sweet photos, and Katie didn't stop smiling for even a moment! It seems evident to me that Walker and Katie have a great time together. They say that opposites attract, and as you can see in the last two photos, at least some of this couple's interests are definitely opposite!

Nicole and Scott's Wedding Reception was held in The Silverbell Pavilion at The Emory Conference Center in Atlanta. The couple knew that they were going to want to take advantage of the gorgeous setting, and luckily the beautiful weather too, so they built in some time between the ceremony and reception for portraits. I took some photos of Nicole and Scott, as well as some more family photos.Once the reception started, the dancing began! Alan Kneiter Orchestra provided live music - the standards, big band, and classic rock.

I photographed Ellen's wedding last summer, and now her brother Scott's wedding last month! Nicole and Scott got married at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Atlanta. As you'll see, Nicole has a smile that beams so brightly it's absolutely contagious. And Scott, well he lights up whenever they are together!I love this moment of excitement and joy when Nicole opened up the rings and showed them to her mom.Scott's Dad helped with the bow tie, after the groomsmen did their best with a you tube video!Scott and Nicole were each escorted down the aisle by both of their parents.Nicole and Scott allowed me to witness their first moments together as a married couple. Erin and Collin threw an amazing party!! I had such a great time, dancing along to the live band Shimmer, getting great shots of all the guests having a blast! After the announcements and special dances, Erin did something I hadn't seen before. They had Shimmer play a few great dance songs, and got the party started immediately! Of course everyone was hungry after that, so Shimmer played some dinner music while everyone ate. But that really set the mood for the rest of the night.
