Joanna & Dave's Spring Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at a Private Residence in Athens, GA

Here are a few of my favorite photos from Joanna and Dave's Spring Outdoor Wedding in Athens, Georgia. Joanna's parents' home on the Oconee River was a gorgeous setting for the day. I've posted from the first look through the ceremony below, and will show you the reception in the next post.

Kent's 6 month session in Atlanta, GA

Today's post is all about Kent, the child of another previous wedding client! Jamie & Geoff got married in Cashiers in 2011. Of course, Jamie is also a life-long friend of mine, which makes it even more fun to see her starting a family. Kent is 6 months old and just adorable. See for yourself! If you want portraits of your family, contact Courtney!

Addy's 6 Month and One Year Portrait Sessions in Atlanta, GA

Time flies when you are having fun! I photographed Jackie & Greg's Engagement, Rehearsal Dinner, and Wedding 4 years ago. Then last summer they welcomed the adorable Addison into their family! I since photographed Addy's 6 Month and 1 Year sessions! I'm truly honored that so many of my wedding clients come to me for family photos, and keep coming back as their babies grow! Here she is at 6 months old:And her One Year Session:

Sara & Nolan's Wedding Ceremony at First Presbyterian Church in Athens, GA

Sara and Nolan's Wedding Ceremony at First Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia. To get some good smiles out of the group I promised this was the last photo before heading to the reception. The groomsman on the very left was clearly excited to get the party started!!The church is just a block away from Hotel Indigo, so the wedding party walked to the reception.I love this photo of Sara. It was just a quick shot before we sat down to eat dinner, but that light was just irresistible and I do love the art installation on the first floor of the hotel. (And yep, the awesome Bride and Groom invited me to eat a quick dinner with them before they were announced into the reception! How sweet.)Flowers by gardenia floral design

Sara and Nolan Getting Ready and Pre-Wedding Portraits at Hotel Indigo and First Presbyterian Church in Athens, GA

Sara and Nolan got married at First Presbyterian Church in Athens, and and held their reception at Hotel Indigo. I started off the day with the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready in the Baby Grand Suite at Hotel Indigo. The ladies all wore the cutest matching floral robes. We walked over to the church where Sara put on her dress. Her dress was just stunning! I heard her say to a few folks, and couldn't agree with her more, "It fits me to a tee!" You know the florist (Gardenia Floral Design) have done an amazing job when the bride cries upon seeing her bouquet!Sara had a special 'first look' with her father in the sanctuary, followed by a 'first look' with her groom!

Julianna & Lila's Newborn Session at Piedmont Hospital

Julianna & Lila were born on April 2nd, and because they are twins that were born a bit early, they are not quite ready to come home yet. I just couldn't wait, so I scrubbed into the NICU with their parents and took photos of them holding their baby girls at Piedmont Hospital. Julianna is the "little piggy" who weighed in at just over 5 lbs at birth. Apparently someone told her she was going to have her photo taken, as she pulled her feeding tube out just before I arrived! We decided that she just wanted to look her best for her first photo session. Her sister Lila is the super fighter who weighed almost 4 lbs. It was Dad's first time getting to hold Lila, and it melted my heart to see his expression as they placed her "kangaroo care" style - skin to skin - onto his chest. They are both doing great and I am so excited to take more photos of them once they are at home! Here are a few from the hospital.

Jennifer & Ryan's Wedding Reception at Wahoo! Grill in Decatur, Georgia

After their short and sweet ceremony (seriously sweet - there was a poem about penguins!) I took some photos of the newlyweds.  We took advantage of the awesome sign on the wall for the tattoo shop next door. Then Jennifer and Ryan had a few appetizers before joining the family at the reception.Just because the invitation list was small does not mean that Jennifer did not pay attention to her wedding details. The flowers were so bright and colorful. There were quite a few different arrangements on the table, all in fun colored vases.  Each guest had a place card being held by the cutest little porcupine's you've ever seen. (She even made one for me!) There were also Lindt chocolates and personalized koozies for the guests to bring home.Jennifer and Ryan love to play cornhole, so they set up a game for everyone to play during cocktail hour. It took a little encouragement to get them going, but once they started to play everyone had a great time!Jennifer's sister was a shoe in to catch the bouquet. Congratulations Jennifer & Ryan!Venue: Wahoo!
