Garrett is a Deputy Sheriff and his cake symbolizes the Thin Blue Line.Toasts were made by the maid of honor, father of the bride, and best man - ending in a surprise of 'snowballs' being thrown at the couple in honor of the story of how they met for the first time 5 years ago to the day - when Garrett threw a snowball at Claire!Don't worry folks - the cuffs here are in reference to Garrett's job, nothing more...This was the first time I'd seen a bride and groom taken away with blue lights flashing! Tori and Todd got married this past weekend at The Foundry Park Inn in Athens, GA. Tori wore the most stunning Casablanca Gown from Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique in Roswell. Gardenia Floral Design provided the magnificent floral arrangements - The bridal bouquet had just the right amount of purple!Todd and Tori chose to see each other before the wedding ceremony so that we could get some wedding party portraits on the UGA campus. We came back to the Foundry where their ceremony, officiated by Tori's grandfather, was held in Galleria II. Their reception was a great party at The Melting Point - The Foundry's music venue. Heather and the girls got ready at The Hampton Inn on Atlanta Highway, while Austin and his guys hung out at Walker's in downtown Athens. Austin surprised Heather by setting up their first look on the same corner in Downtown Athens where he proposed! We took wedding party photos in Downtown Athens, then headed to The Day Chapel at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia for their ceremony. The flowers were designed by Maggie at European Floral Design. I'll show the reception photos in the next post.

I've known Trevor forever, or at least since he was born! Our families are close friends and many of my childhood memories include him - especially Thanksgiving! It was such an honor for me to photograph his and Ellen's engagement session and wedding.We started at Ellen's friend's condo, which had an amazing view of the city!We went to Piedmont Park for the rest of the session. Trevor and Ellen brought their dog Bruiser for some of the photos, since he's part of the family too. Plus, he's so photogenic!I love how happy Trevor looks getting a kiss from Ellen!We took a few more skyline photos at the park.Ellen and Trevor's wedding reception was going to be held at The Foundry Park Inn's music venue, The Melting Point. Keeping with the musical theme, they asked if we could take some less traditional, more fun engagement photos for them to use to make posters to display at the reception. Of course, I obliged, and we had a blast! Hannah and Ryan's reception was held at The Hoyt House Pavilion at The Foundry Park Inn in Athens, Georgia. It was the perfect environment for their fun, upbeat reception! My favorite part was the band Grogus. I am a big fan - not only of the band, but of all of the musicians in their various projects.Ryan's mom was a fan too!A nice twilight photo of the venue.Hannah and Ryan's first dance was so sweet!And of course, the father daughter and mother son dances followed. Laura and Wes got married at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia on a beautiful July day.I have never seen a wedding band like Laura's. Isn't it beautiful?And her dress was just perfect. The exact right combination of ruching and lace!Laura and Wes, like many of the couples I photograph, chose to see each other before the ceremony. This allows for a private, personal moment between the bride and groom - the "first look." It also allows us to get most of the wedding party and family photographs taken before the ceremony begins. That way everyone can get to the reception much faster, and the guests don't have to wait so long for the bride and groom! Here are the photos from Laura and Wes' first look.This is the "Men's Dressing Room" at the Day Chapel - It's much more like a closet. A tiny closet that doesn't even hold all of the guys in the wedding party!! Luckily, guys don't need much time or space to get ready!The Wedding Party.Wes and Laura with the adorable Flower Girls and Ring Bearer.Wes and Laura with their parents.The ring bearer was quite proud of his "pillow." The First United Methodist Church of Athens has beautiful stained glass windows. They add so much to the ceremony photos!Breaking the glass.After the ceremony we went over the North Campus. The bride and groom under the famous UGA arches.The whole crew.Then the couple rang the chapel bell!
