Lisa called me when she was looking for a Decatur portrait photographer to take some family photos in downtown Decatur. It was a chilly day in February, but we made it work! Even the family dog came along.One of my favorite products I offer is a 10x20 frame that includes a mat with 3 5x7 windows. These work great for 3 siblings, but also work well for 3 images of one child or if you have two kids, an image of each child on the right and left and one of both children together in the middle. It's shown below in Barn Grey Wood.So many families forget to get a photo of just mom and dad, but it's important! This one is particularly cute. Brooke's Georgia Tech Graduation Session in Atlanta, GA
Brooke graduated from Georgia Tech (with honors!) this past December. We had a great time taking some photos to celebrate. We were not deterred by the lack of water in the Kessler Campanile, instead we tried to fill it with champagne! Brooke's family got in on the photos, including her twin sister Kellie. I'm looking forward to photographing Kellie's graduation photos this coming weekend.
The Becker Family in Decatur, GA
I photographed the Becker Family last fall. The boys were so well behaved and sweet, but Buzz the dog stole the show! I've photographed many dogs with their people, and I've never worked with such a professional. Buzz would sit and stay exactly where his mom Chris told him to, and not move an inch until released. Maybe I'll hire her to train my dogs! I hope you enjoy these photos of this wonderful family.
Newborn Baby Boy in Decatur, GA
I photographed this handsome boy right after Christmas. As always, I went to his parents house and brought all my blankets and props with me. I know that new parents love the convenience of not having to leave home to get these beautiful images that look like they were taken in a studio. I also take some lifestyle photographs of the baby with his family, but these parents preferred that I not post photos that included them. I had such fun with this sweet boy. She said yes! Daniel's Proposal to Leanne at The Atlanta Botanical Garden
Daniel did such a great job of setting up his surprise proposal to Leanne at The Atlanta Botanical Garden on New Year's Eve. He told her they were going to a corporate event, so they got dressed up and headed out. He'd rented the Japanese Garden for the occasion, but due to a rainy day we went with the Orchid house for the actual proposal. Daniel and I had planned ahead and gone to the gardens together a few days earlier to map out locations, so I was ready when they walked in he went down on a knee!But the surprise didn't end there! Daniel had invited both his family and Leanne's to celebrate with them. After some champagne and enjoying the garden lights that were on display, the group rode around the city in a limo and celebrated Daniel and Leanne's engagement as well as the New Year.Congratulations Daniel and Leanne! Thanks for letting me in on the surprise!
Newborn Baby Winslow Lyn in Alpharetta, GA
What a cute Christmas baby! I had such fun taking photos of sweet baby Winslow when she was 15 days old. Thank goodness we had that little tiara, because she looked like such a princess in her tutu! And we couldn't resist a few santa photos. I love the idea that every year these photos will come out with the Christmas decorations as Winslow grows up. Melissa and Doug's 9th Anniversary Portrait Session at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA
Check out Melissa and Doug's adorably fun 9th anniversary portrait session at Piedmont Park. I knew Melissa and Doug would be a fun couple when they introduced themselves and said, but we're not that Melissa and Doug - referring to the toy manufacturer. Melissa and Doug met in Detroit, and moved to Atlanta so Doug could do his residency and Melissa taught 1st grade. Currently they live in Michigan, have been married for 9 years and have 4 kids! They were on vacation in Atlanta without the kids and decided to have a fun portrait session with just the two of them. They picked Piedmont Park because they lived down the street from the park when they lived in Atlanta. They created many memories at the park, including taking their dog Koda to the dog park and welcoming their first born and taking her for walks. They even took her photo at the park for their very first Christmas card!

Last summer I met Holly and Todd at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens for their engagement session. We had such a fun time. I can't remember the last time I've laughed so much! Newborn Baby JP's Photo Session in Atlanta, GA
Kelsey & Preston's son JP is just precious! He was an early arrival, so I photographed his session after he came home from the NICU. He was three weeks old, but still let us curl him up and take adorable sleepy newborn photos. The book was a gift given to Kelsey and Preston at their baby shower, and what a sweet idea it is. The nursery has a world travel theme, so Kelsey's vintage suitcases were a perfect prop. Check out this adorable baby boy!

Axley and Kealey are the adorable children of one of my dearest friends, Amy. (She also happens to be one of Atlanta's best realtors!) She and I were best friends as kids. We were on swim team, in ballet class, and in girl scouts together. We spent every weekend together and even ran a babysitting business together! She's one of my favorite clients, not only because of our friendship, but also because her kids are so sweet and polite. For our most recent fall family session we chose Winn Park, which is located in Ansley Park where we grew up. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the session.The strongest Dad in the world! One Year Old Ayla Jane's Fall Family Session at Dudley Park in Athens Georgia
Casey and Alex got married at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens in the Fall of 2012. Two years later they added the absolutely adorable Ayla Jane to their family. And this past fall, when she was one year old, I took their family's photos at Dudley Park. She is seriously the cutest baby - and was determined to be grumpy the whole time! But not to worry, we captured every smile and I think her personality really shines through.I have to say that I LOVE the fall leaves in the background of these photos. I can't tell you how perfect this Back Yard Birthday Party was! It was their mom's 60th, and the kids threw her a party to remember. A Divine Event created the perfect ambiance, including using the families furniture. We had a fun family portrait session, followed by dinner as the sun set.
