Nicole and Tyler had planned on an outside wedding, but the rain didn't allow for that. Luckily, the interior of The Taylor Grady House is beautiful, and a perfect backdrop for their lovely, romantic ceremony. The magnificent floral arrangements were created by European Floral Design.Tyler was a little "turned around" when he entered for the ceremony. He started off on the bride's side! Luckily, his best men were there to help him out.I love this moment between Tyler and his dad!The elegant bride walking down the aisle with her father. Are they a happy couple or what?Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Evans!
Nicole and Tyler's Wedding at The Taylor Grady House in Athens
What a crazy, fun, rainy wedding Nicole and Tyler had last Saturday! An outdoor wedding in the spring in Georgia can be beautiful. There are so many colorful trees and flowers blooming, and the weather can be just perfect. On the other hand, it could rain -- and rain it did! And the rain brought with it some other problems. But what didn't it do? It didn't make the wedding any less special. It didn't slow the party down. And it didn't stop us from getting outdoor photos - on the porch of The Taylor Grady House!I love these shoes that Nicole wore with her wedding dress. Not only are they beautiful, they had great padding inside! Nicole was definitely thinking ahead, and she didn't have to trade beauty for comfort - she found them both.Getting all the buttons done up on the dress is not a one person task. The gorgeous flowers were done by the amazing Maggie over at European Floral Design.Nicole and her MamaWe still got the photos with the flowering trees in the background! And is Nicole stunning, or what?!The men - looking great in their suits from Perno's Formal Wear. And Tyler - a handsome, and happy groom! More to come...
Keri Beth and Jonathan's Engagement Session at The State Botanical Gardens in Athens
Keri Beth and Jonathan are getting married this summer at Watkinsville First Baptist Church, with their reception at The Georgian in downtown Athens. Keri Beth and Jonathan, like many couples I work with, met online. They are actually getting married on their second anniversary of their first date! They wanted an outdoorsy, country setting for their engagement session, so we started at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia then headed down Milledge Rd. Below are some of my favorite photos of the day.I'm looking forward to the wedding, these two are such a fun couple!! www.CourtneyGoldman.com
Caroline and Stephen's Engagement Session in Piedmont Park in Atlanta
Caroline and Stephen are getting married in September and wanted a spring engagement session. Our original date was rained out, but we couldn't have asked for a better "rain date." It was gorgeous last weekend! It turns out that like me, Stephen was a "lifer" at Lovett - so we had lots to talk about. (Being a lifer at Lovett means that we attended from Kindergarten through Senior Year!) Stephen was actually working at Lovett when Caroline's neighbors (also her friends and bridesmaids) introduced the two of them. Five happy years later, Stephen proposed to Caroline by carving "Marry Me" into a Jack O' Lantern. How fun!

Today's blog post is a shout out to A Divine Event catering company. A Divine Event has been doing business in Atlanta for over 10 years, and they've recently added a branch here in Athens.First, let me tell you how much I love their web site and marketing. I've been published in Brides Atlanta - again!
If you didn't see it, I was published in the last issue of Brides Atlanta, and now the newest one has hit the newsstands and it has my photos in it too. Here's the cover. The editors at Brides Atlanta called me and requested some great first dance photos - and I knew exactly who to pick -- Jackie and Greg! Jackie and Greg's reception at The Foundry Park Inn was beautiful, and they were so cute when they did their first dance! Also, Tony Washington from Entertainment Purposes only DJs worked the reception, and he's one of my favorite DJs! Here are my photos from the article on First Dances. This next photo is one you'll remember from the last time I was published. They took a photo from Joan and Alan's Real Wedding Feature and made it "The Moment" on the last page of the magazine. The editor of the National magazine Brides liked this photo so much she called and asked if she could use it for ALL the local Brides magazines! So whether you're looking at Brides Atlanta, Brides Boston, or Brides Southern California, you'll see my photo as the lead picture for the Real Dads Reflect story!
Bridal Show Giveaway Winner!
Yesterday's Athens Wedding Professionals' Ultimate Bridal Show was a total success! So many brides came with their moms, bridesmaids, and friends to help them make important (and fun!) decisions about their weddings. I met lots of great women, and look forward to the chance to work with them.I was so happy with my booth this year. I felt like it represented my style of photography, with an earthy, organic, handmade feel. I found these adorable wire photo holders (on the table on the left) on etsy, along with the cute little bud vases with fresh, bright flowers. And it all sat on the elegantly earthy linens from Barron's Rental. All those things I love - bright, organic, personal touches! When I wasn't busy talking to excited brides, I enjoyed visiting the booths of other Athens Wedding Professional vendors who I love to work with. I filled up snacking on the deliciously irresistible treats from the caterers!I promised that I would announce the winner of the adorable bride hanger (also handmade and from etsy) on my blog today. So... the winner is... Katie, who's getting married on 10/22/11 in Dacula, GA! Congratulations Katie! Please contact me (by next Monday) to set up a time to get your prize.www.CourtneyGoldman.com

Margaret and David’s Engagement Session in Stone Mountain Park
I photographed Margaret and David's engagement session in Stone Mountain Park in late December. We were all so surprised at how beautiful the day was! Just one day before it was gray and cold and no good at all. As you can see the sun came out and made the session fabulous. Margaret and David spent some of their first dates at Stone Mountain Park, so they knew exactly where they wanted to have their photos taken. They were very easy to photograph -- so natural in front of the camera and hardly needing any direction from me! Here are a few of my favorites from the day.Congratulations Margaret and David! Looking forward to the wedding this spring.www.CourtneyGoldman.com

Laura and Wes' Engagement Session at The Botanical Garden in Athens
Laura and Wes were such fun to work with! We met at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia on a beautiful fall day, and had such fun walking all over the gardens taking photos. Here are a few of my favorites.I was telling Laura and Wes that I love to use this arch in photos, and that some of the couples I photograph are tall enough to lean on each side while holding hands. Wes took that as a challenge and said, I bet you've never take photos of a couple hanging off the arch! I hadn't, but as you can see - now I have. This is a traditional pose, but I just love it anyway! And we had to make sure to get some photos with the vibrant glowing fall leaves!... And they skipped off into the sunset...We did run downtown and get some photos with the UGA arch. Here's my favorite.Congratulations Laura and Wes. I had such fun and can't wait for the wedding!www.CourtneyGoldman.com
