Here are a few of my favorite photos from Joanna and Dave's Spring Outdoor Wedding in Athens, Georgia. Joanna's parents' home on the Oconee River was a gorgeous setting for the day. I've posted from the first look through the ceremony below, and will show you the reception in the next post.

Sara and Nolan's Wedding Ceremony at First Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia.To get some good smiles out of the group I promised this was the last photo before heading to the reception. The groomsman on the very left was clearly excited to get the party started!!The church is just a block away from Hotel Indigo, so the wedding party walked to the reception.I love this photo of Sara. It was just a quick shot before we sat down to eat dinner, but that light was just irresistible and I do love the art installation on the first floor of the hotel. (And yep, the awesome Bride and Groom invited me to eat a quick dinner with them before they were announced into the reception! How sweet.)Flowers by gardenia floral design

Sara and Nolan Getting Ready and Pre-Wedding Portraits at Hotel Indigo and First Presbyterian Church in Athens, GA

Sara and Nolan got married at First Presbyterian Church in Athens, and and held their reception at Hotel Indigo. I started off the day with the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready in the Baby Grand Suite at Hotel Indigo. The ladies all wore the cutest matching floral robes.We walked over to the church where Sara put on her dress. Her dress was just stunning! I heard her say to a few folks, and couldn't agree with her more, "It fits me to a tee!" You know the florist (Gardenia Floral Design) have done an amazing job when the bride cries upon seeing her bouquet!Sara had a special 'first look' with her father in the sanctuary, followed by a 'first look' with her groom!

Jennifer & Ryan's Wedding Reception at Wahoo! Grill in Decatur, Georgia

After their short and sweet ceremony (seriously sweet - there was a poem about penguins!) I took some photos of the newlyweds.  We took advantage of the awesome sign on the wall for the tattoo shop next door.Then Jennifer and Ryan had a few appetizers before joining the family at the reception.Just because the invitation list was small does not mean that Jennifer did not pay attention to her wedding details. The flowers were so bright and colorful. There were quite a few different arrangements on the table, all in fun colored vases.  Each guest had a place card being held by the cutest little porcupine's you've ever seen. (She even made one for me!) There were also Lindt chocolates and personalized koozies for the guests to bring home.Jennifer and Ryan love to play cornhole, so they set up a game for everyone to play during cocktail hour. It took a little encouragement to get them going, but once they started to play everyone had a great time!Jennifer's sister was a shoe in to catch the bouquet. Congratulations Jennifer & Ryan!Venue: Wahoo! Jennifer and Ryan had an intimate wedding just a few weeks ago at Wahoo! Grill in Decatur. It was truly a family affair, as their guest list consisted of family members only! The photos below include a few detail shots, Jennifer and Ryan's first look, some family photos, and the ceremony.

Jennifer & Ryan's Engagement Session on the UGA campus and in Downtown Athens, GA

Jennifer and Ryan got married a few weekends ago, and I'm very excited to show you their wedding images. When I was putting those photos together, I realized that I never blogged their engagement session from last October. So I'm going to start by showing you these great engagement session photos first. Sara and Nolan's Engagement Session in Downtown Athens, GA

Sara and Nolan are getting married next weekend! I'm so excited for the wedding, so I thought it was a great time to show you their engagement session from last summer. We walked around downtown Athens, stopping at The First Presbyterian Church where they are getting married, and of course the UGA Arches and North Campus.I'm looking forward to a fun wedding with some of my favorite Athens Vendors, who are also all members of The Athens Wedding Professionals. The reception is in The Rialto Club at Hotel Indigo, food by A Divine Event, entertainment by David Osborne of Sound Insight Productions, and flowers by Gardenia!

Wendy and Charlie's Engagement Session at The Intramural Fields at UGA in Athens, GA

 I met Wendy at The Athens Wedding Professionals Bridal Show in January, and I'm so glad I did! She's an adorable, energetic and fun woman who is marrying Charlie (also adorable, energetic and fun!) this summer. We met behind the Intramural Fields at UGA to take their engagement photos while walking along some of the trails. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the session.And of course we had to include their sweet dog Roo!I can't wait to photograph their wedding this summer! 

Claire and Garrett's Wedding Reception at The Thompson House and Gardens in Athens, GA

Claire and Garrett's first dance, followed by the bride dancing with her father and the groom dancing with his mother.How cool is this groom's cake? Garrett is a Deputy Sheriff and his cake symbolizes the Thin Blue Line.Toasts were made by the maid of honor, father of the bride, and best man - ending in a surprise of 'snowballs' being thrown at the couple in honor of the story of how they met for the first time 5 years ago to the day - when Garrett threw a snowball at Claire!Don't worry folks - the cuffs here are in reference to Garrett's job, nothing more...This was the first time I'd seen a bride and groom taken away with blue lights flashing! Farrell and David's Wedding Ceremony in the Firehall at The Classic Center in Athens, GA

David is a Firefighter, so it was totally fitting for Farrell and David to get married in The Firehall at The Classic Center. You'll probably notice the fire pole that sits in the middle of the room! Also, they had a fire truck pick them up at The Classic Center and take them to Hotel Indigo for their reception.Here are some of my favorite images from their wedding ceremony.

Farrell and David's wedding reception was in The Rialto Club at Hotel Indigo, and I was thrilled that Farrell and her bridesmaids got ready in the Presidential Baby Grand Suite. It is the most amazing, beautiful space with great light and a stunning blue baby grand piano. David surprised Farrell with these gorgeous purple earrings!Farrell and David's ceremony was held in The Firehall at The Classic Center.If you are looking for a photographer for your Athens or Atlanta wedding, contact me and let's chat! 

Lauren & Colby's Wedding Ceremony in The Day Chapel and Reception in The Terrace Room at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens

Here are a few of my favorite photos from Lauren and Colby's wedding. They were married on a gorgeous Sunday in November in The Day Chapel at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia. Carrie Scruggs played the harp for their ceremony. We took some fun portraits in the garden after the ceremony. After that we headed to The Terrace room for the reception where I photographed the first dance and the father-daughter dance. Sound Insight Productions was the DJ for the reception and  Trumps catered a tasty southern meal. Congratulations Lauren and Colby!
