Another precious newborn. This time, the child of some life long friends!
Newborn Baby Owen, and his big sister Cara
My sister's great friend Shannon had this handsome baby boy back in August. I happened to be in town, so we went over and I took just a few photos. Some of my favorites are of Owen with his big sister Cara. So sweet!!
Newborn Baby Thomas in Atlanta
There's nothing more precious than a newborn baby.
Heather and Austin's Engagement Session in Downtown Athens, GA
Heather, Austin and I met at 9:00 am this summer for their engagement session in downtown Athens, GA. At that hour it wasn't too terribly hot, and since Athens doesn't really wake up until early afternoon (hehe) we had the town to ourselves. We began at The Georgian, where there wedding reception was going to be held, then just walked around. Here are some of my favorite photos of the day.
Summer Photos of Daphne in Athens, GA
Daphne is one of my favorite models, as she's also one of my favorite little people!! She lives down the street from me, so we hang out quite a bit. In August I took a few photos, and they are just too cute not to share.Oh, and her parents are musicians, so you can see that she just may end up following in their footsteps!
Newborn Baby Harper in Athens, GA
Baby Harper was less than 3 weeks old when I took her photos. She was a perfect - and very sleepy - model.
Mindy and Adam's Engagement Session at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens
Some favorites from Mindy and Adam's engagement session at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia. (I'm getting used to these blog posts of few words. After all, I'm a photographer, not a writer. And I don't have to tell you how adorable these two are... just look!)
Ollie and Family in Downtown Athens, GA
Ollie and his parents are out of town "friends of friends" who had seen some of my photos through Facebook. I was so excited when they decided to have a portrait session done on their visit to Athens this summer! Here are some of my favorites of the day.
Jasmin and Ariel's Engagement Session at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA
I photographed Jasmin and Ariel's engagement session at Piedmont Park back in June. We had such fun walking around the park, enjoying the weather and taking photos.Ariel brought all the accessories for a picnic at the park - reminiscent of when he proposed to Jasmin. He fed her some berries and they had some wine. Then he tried to feed her a nectarine and we were cracking up - not easy to make that look sexy! They are so cute together! And the Canadian geese were kind enough to walk around in the background for some nice park ambiance.Congrats Jasmin and Ariel!
Baby Parker in Atlanta
I went to highschool with Parker's mom Lindsey, and was thrilled to have the chance to photograph her beautiful baby girl Parker back in May. Yes, I admit I'm a bit behind in my blogging, but just because Parker is probably crawling all over the place by now doesn't mean I shouldn't show you how beautiful she was when she was just a few weeks old!
Ellen and Trevor's Engagement Session at Piedmont Park in Atlanta
I've known Trevor forever, or at least since he was born! Our families are close friends and many of my childhood memories include him - especially Thanksgiving! It was such an honor for me to photograph his and Ellen's engagement session and wedding. We started at Ellen's friend's condo, which had an amazing view of the city!We went to Piedmont Park for the rest of the session. Trevor and Ellen brought their dog Bruiser for some of the photos, since he's part of the family too. Plus, he's so photogenic!I love how happy Trevor looks getting a kiss from Ellen! We took a few more skyline photos at the park.Ellen and Trevor's wedding reception was going to be held at The Foundry Park Inn's music venue, The Melting Point. Keeping with the musical theme, they asked if we could take some less traditional, more fun engagement photos for them to use to make posters to display at the reception. Of course, I obliged, and we had a blast! Below are the posters Trevor's brother Alec (who also promotes musicians for a living) created for them, then a photo of the display at the Melting Point.Photos from the wedding coming up soon!
Baby Axley is 6 months old!
As always, it was so fun to see how much a newborn I'd photographed has grown in 6 short months!! Axley (click here for his newborn photos) is such a sweet little guy. He may look a little lady-like in the first photo, since he's in his Christening gown and cap - but I'm sure it's because of those beautiful eyes! He's quite the little man in all the others.A few outside photos with Mom made for a great Father's day gift for Dad.And finally, in his adorable Cuban style shirt and hat!
Baby Lucas
I do love to photograph the baby of a previous bride and groom!! Marissa and Brant's son Lucas is just adorable. He was about 3 months old during the shoot. He is so handsome, and was so well behaved. He didn't even seem to mind all the costume changes. Here are a few of my favorites from the session. I can't wait to see him again when he's a little older!Such a smiler! He was very intrigued with my flash. Can't resist a baby in a cute hat!Not sure what his expression is saying here... might be a little concerned about a bear that's twice his size?Marissa and Lucas. Love this hat! This photo makes me think of future, college-aged Lucas, in his polo shirt, lounging on the couch. But then he'll have a beer, and hopefully some pants too!I had to get one shot with Marissa and her "first child" Gracie!
Grace and Robert's Engagement Session at The Botanical Garden in Athens, GA
Grace and Robert are getting married this weekend! I'm looking forward to working with them - we had such fun at the engagement session. I photographed their engagement session at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in April. The weather was just gorgeous! Here are a few of my favorites from the day.I love red Japanese Maples, so I had to start with some photos in front of this one. It was just a bonus that Grace has the most beautiful red hair, making the tree an even better background! We went into the shade garden, one of the quietest parts of the garden.Grace looked great in her sundress. After a quick change of clothes we headed into the main part of the Garden. Look at all that lush greenery!Congratulations Grace and Robert! See you two on Saturday.
Charlie is 18 months old! Family portrait session in Madison, GA
As any parent knows, time flies when kids are growing up! Photography is, of course, a great way to capture those moments in time so we can look back and remember each stage in our little ones' lives. I first met Charlie when he was only 3 months old. Since then, I photographed him at 6 months, 12 months, and now 18 months! He's seems like such a big kid now, but I'm betting I'll say that next time I see him too!! Here are some of my favorite photos from his 18 month session.Charlie loves his mama!Charlie's favorite thing right now is balls. Tennis balls, beach balls, nerf balls, he's not too picky. But he loves to throw that ball around! He can't quite get up that ladder yet, but that does not stop him from trying! (Not to worry, dad's right there behind him.)Walking home.See you soon Charlie!!
Two Year Old Eden's Portrait Session at The State Botanical Garden in Athens, GA
I had such a great time taking photos of two year old Eden at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia. Two is such a fun age. Eden was interested in exploring everything and each new experience put a smile on her face. Basically, her mom Casey and I followed her around the garden for an hour as she laughed and played! Here are some of my favorite photos from the session.Gotta love dipping your toes in a cold stream on a hot day!Eden and Casey having a picnic with Eden's favorite stuffed animals. Did I mention that Casey is an awesome massage therapist? I'm so excited to see her today to get a massage! You should visit her too, and tell her I sent you - she'll take great care of you for a very reasonable price. She owns Drift Massage Studio, and you can even schedule your appointments online! OK, unsolicited plug over, back to the photos...Tickle monster!!This was Eden's flute - or maybe clarinet - love that innocent imagination.A quick outfit change and we are off to find the next adventure!Running around with mom is always fun!So cute!At this point Eden was done playing, done with photos, and ready for a nap. But I couldn't resist a quick shot in front of these beautiful flowers. A lovely end to a lovely session.
Keri and Brad's Engagement Session at McDaniel Farm Park in Duluth, GA
I met Keri and Brad on a beautiful spring day at McDaniel Farm Park in Duluth, Georgia. They were naturals in front of the camera! Here are some of my favorite photos of the session.
Newborn Baby Quinn in Athens, Georgia
Welcome Baby Quinn to the world! Quinn's parents Annie & Roger are friends of mine, as well as colleagues in the wedding industry. Their businesses, Annie's Video Memories and Athens Photo Booths, both complement my photography well! Anyway, they had adorable Quinn a few months back and I had to get some photos. Quinn was not a huge fan of the camera or getting his photos taken, but we got some great ones nonetheless. He's so handsome!Congratulations Annie and Roger!
Baby Elliot's 6 month portraits in Athens
Baby Elliot is already 6 months old. I know that time flies when you are a parent, which is why I love to be able to document so many stages in children's lives! So far I've photographed Anna's Maternity session, Elliot's newborn photos, and now his 6 month old photos below - I hope to see him again in another 6 months!Elliot is so adorable - and had such great eye contact with the camera! I love his thigh rolls too...I thought it would be fun to compare a few photos from 6 months ago, because I swear he had the exact same expressions!!Look at those eyes!Elliot is just learning to sit up on his own - and he's proud! Plus, it looks like he's waving at me...He's still very happy rolling around on the floor - and he loves his toes!Lookin' like a big boy in his overalls. And my favorite photo of all. So sweet.See you soon Elliot!
Dawn and Rick's Engagement Session at UGA in Athens
Dawn and Rick met in Athens, at NONA - New Orleans 'N Athens. They love to spend time riding on their motorcycles, so we thought that would be fun for some of the engagement photos. Then we walked around North Campus and got some more photos. Rick was a student at UGA, and shared lots of fun memories with us!This sun dial is in the Founder's Garden on UGA's campus. It's got such a sweet quote, "Grow Old Along with Me The Best is Yet To Be." Take a look at Dawn's beautiful, unique engagement ring! It's a yellow sapphire surrounded by diamonds. I'm looking forward to the wedding this weekend!
