These 4 kids were all so sweet, so well mannered, and so well behaved I wasn't quite sure what to do with them! Even the dog listened and looked at the camera! We had fun finding different spots for photos, with the red japanese maple being a favorite of course. Here are some of my favorites.
Daphne's Three Year Old Session in Downtown Athens GA
Daphne never fails to make me laugh. She's sweet and silly and very proud to be three years old. In fact, just about all I had to do to get this sweet girl to smile was to ask how old she is. She'd respond with a very enthusiastic THREE!!! I'll start you off with the silly photo. Enjoy!
Baby Matthew's Portrait Session in Atlanta
Matthew was about 6 weeks when I photographed him. Still tiny and adorable, but less willing to get into the smooshy newborn poses I love so much, we got some great photos of this alert little guy! He was much happier in mom and dad's arms, resulting in some very sweet family photos. What a cutie!
Thomas and Reagan's Family Session
I've been taking photos of Thomas and Reagan for three years now, and I love seeing how much they grow and change every time I see them! We had a great time taking photos and playing at Winn Park in Ansley Park (where I grew up.) Here are some favorites from the session!
Rachel and Robert's Engagement Session at The Athens Botanical Gardens
I met Rachel and Robert at a Trump's Catering Tasting last fall. I'm going to be at the one this spring too! If you are planning a wedding in Athens you should contact Andree at Trumps to find out more, and come see me and taste all of their delicious food! Anyway, Rachel and Robert might just be the sweetest couple ever. I really enjoyed photographing their engagement session and can't wait for their wedding this summer! Here are a few of my favorites.
Axley's two year portrait session at Winn Park in Atlanta
I've been photographing Axley every six months since he was a newborn. Not only does he keep getting cuter, he definitely keeps getting faster!! He was walking at his 18 month session, but at this one, his 24 month session, he was running - the entire time!! Axley's dad told me that he never stops running, and to prove it he picked him up and I swear his legs just kept on going. When his dad put him down he was off again! We had a great time chasing this little guy around the playground. I got a lot of great action shots, and even managed a group portrait or two. This is my very favorite photo of the day. Such a cute, mischevious smile.
Miles Welcomes Newborn Tucker to his family in Atlanta!
I first met Miles and his family when he was just 3 months old. I took some more photos last summer, which is when I found out that his mom was expecting another! It's very special to be able to capture so many stages in a family's life. This first photo is possibly my favorite of the session. As a big brother, Miles will be watching Tucker all his life. This little boy was so adorable! And a good sleeper. I had no problems getting these precious moments without waking him.OK, Maybe these are my favorite photos. Dad and his boys, but rather than rough and tumble they are so sweet and gentle!!Nothing is more precious than a Mama's love.
Yue's Maternity at University of Georgia and Viola's 30 day session in Athens, GA
Yue came back from China to have her second baby - this time a girl! A few years ago I photographed her newborn son, Tyger. Here are some of my favorite photos from Yue's maternity session at The University of Georgia.Baby Tyger is so grown up!For the Chinese, a baby's 30th day is very important, so rather than doing the usual one week old newborn session, I photographed Viola when she was 30 days old. She's a big baby!We did a few Christmas photos too!
Katie and Walker's Engagement Session at a private residence in Atlanta, Georgia
Katie was a bridesmaid at Caroline and Stephen's wedding in the Fall of 2011. This summer, she is going to be the bride when she marries Walker at Holy Spirit Catholic Church! I met up with Katie and Walker on a warm day this past fall at Katie's grandparents' house for their engagement session. We walked around the property and took some sweet photos, and Katie didn't stop smiling for even a moment! It seems evident to me that Walker and Katie have a great time together. They say that opposites attract, and as you can see in the last two photos, at least some of this couple's interests are definitely opposite!
Julie and Jared's Engagement Session at The Athens Botanical Garden
Julie and Jared's Engagement Session at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens. These two are such a cute couple!!
Liza and Scott welcome Emily to their family!

Katie's Family Portrait Session at The Athens Botanical Gardens
Katie is a new/old friend of mine, or maybe an old/new friend - it depends on how you look at it!! I went to school with Katie from age 5-18. Though we didn't keep up for the last 10 + (yikes!) years, when she moved to Athens last summer we quickly became friends again! She has a beautiful family, as you can see. We did a photo session at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia and got these fun family photos. Enjoy!
William's Six Month Session at The Athens Botanical Gardens
William's Six Month session was about six month's ago! So I'm sure I'll be posting his 12 month session soon enough. It's worth not skpping, as he's as cute as can be. (Here he is as a newborn.) Enjoy!

Carter's 6-month Portrait Session at The Athens Botanical Garden
Carter is my precious across-the-street neighbor. He was so alert during our newborn session, and has been such a sweet, expressive baby ever since! My Family Trip to The Oregon Coast
As a break from the usual, here are some photos from my family trip last month to The Oregon Coast. The first one is an iPhone photo that stitches together multiple images to create a panorama. This is the 180° view from the window in my bedroom. Unfortunately, sized for this blog it's a bit too small to really appreciate, but it's still a great view! The house we stayed in was surrounded by these gorgeous hydrangeas. This is the view from the hot tub. Yep, I said hot tub. And the tiger lilies I tried to convince my nephew should really be called leopard lilies. My family. Left to Right it's me, my aunt, mom, dad, sister and nephew. These little flowers are all over in Oregon, and made me smile every time I saw them.My sister and her son. (Who turned 6 this week!)Me and the nephew. And I leave you with this view, as it's also my last view of ocean on the drive back to my sister's house.
Axley and his Family at The Garden Hills Duck Pond in Atlanta, GA
I've been so busy with weddings I've gotten a little behind in blogging portraits. Here's a session from May, taken at The Garden Hills Duck Pond. It's a great place for photos as the ducks and geese provide great entertainment! This was Axley's 18 month session. I've been photographing him every 6 months since he was a newborn and he just keeps gettting cuter and cuter - I can't believe his curly hair! His Mom and I have been friends since we were this age, so it's always fun and very special for me to take photographs of their family. Here are a few of my favorites.
